I'm delighted to announce that my portrait painting of Mr Philip Ledbury, "Dead Man Posing", has won the Holburne Museum Portrait Prize 2008.
In front of a packed Chapel Row Gallery, the distinguished panel of judges including author Victoria Glendinning, John Leighton, Director of the National Galleries of Scotland and the artist Humphrey Ocean RA unanimously selected "Dead Man Posing" as winner of the 2008 Holburne Portrait Prize.

About the portrait
Philip has only recently come into my life through art. A man diagnosed three years ago
with leukaemia, his passion for life is inspiring. His desire to live life to the
full...'quality not quantity'... is a favourite saying of his, combined with a wicked
sense of humour, was my inspiration to paint his portrait. A fitting record of the
man.
